Bring Light raises money for charties' projects. It's backed by a social network realizing we give through our friends' recommendations.
Social networking meets charitable giving
Through our research we learned that people want to give to charities, but don’t know where to start. Donors want to know where what impact their donations make. And we realized that most people become involved and donate to charities through friends and family.
Results
We worked closely with Bring Light to develop a strategy to make charitable giving easier and more transparent by connecting communities and the charities.
Instead of giving to a massive fund like the Human Society, now donors can give to a very specific project, ie saving 10 kittens this weekend – and see the results next week.
We leveraged social networking features to enable users to share charitable recommendations with friends. Giving groups allow friends and organizations to give together to make a bigger impact and raise awareness for their shared cause.
Services included product strategy, interface and interaction design, visual design and branding, and prototyping.
